#276 - Mjollnir Madness: Join the Club
Looks like the dragon has a few more distractions to deal with before he can cast his spell.

Nice hit, Thor. Unfortunately, you did not Con Stun him . . . .

Even with a thunder god’s THACO, you can still roll a 1.

Wonder what he hit him with?

Looked a bit like the piece of Dagda’s club that Sif had in her purse.
It seems that I need a definition of D&D terminology. Con Stun? THACO?

mcubedb: Con Stun is a Hero Games (Champions) gaming term: it means that the amount of Stun damage that gets thru your defenses exceeds your CON score.
THACO is a 1st and 2nd ed AD&D term: To Hit Armor Class 0 (zero). This means what you have to roll on a d20 to hit Armor Class 0 based on the bonuses of your weapons and your Characteristics.
Attack of Opportunity is a 3rd ed D&D term, but I never played that one so I can’t remember exactly what it means.
Basicallly, we’ve got a lot of gaming geeks here

@abbadon - mcubedb was right… that was the piece of Dagda’s club Sif let Thor “borrow”.
@mcubedb - Looks like Theala gave some pretty good answers there. The Alternity game system also used stun damage. The whole concept behind stun damage is to handle situations where a character might be armored up (wearing a bulletproof vest for example) but still feels it when they get hit by something powerful. Say a person gets shot but is wearing a vest so it doesn’t do any major damage… but they’ll still know they got shot as the impact against the vest could knock the wind out of them (bruising them up in the process or even cracking some ribs if it was a high caliber gun).
And on a separate note… hooray for gaming geeks (yeah, Seth and I are both long-time gaming geeks)!

All he needs to do is declare the right attack and roll initiative. Hello eyeball. Meet finger.
