#293 - Twilight of The Hod: You’re Dead, Too

Yep, that’s it… everyone’s dead.  At least, that’s as good a theory as any.

Sooo…Odineye is in charge…How…very…shortsighted…of them! …And Balder…is…dead?…Somehow…I never…SAW…that…(me thinks my keyboard is channeling Shatner)…coming…A suiting…PUNishment…for Arazel, Xarenia and all concerned.

It appears Our Hodsy has been a baaad liddle boy, to paraphrase Red Skelton.

(Que dramatic music) Dun Dun DUN!

  3. Siriln Says:

*blinks rapidly* Wow, that’s something to contemplate at breakfast. Maybe Ragnarök has occurred? Though that still doesn’t explain Odineye being leader…

  4. JastaElf Says:

Well… Balder being dead makes perfect sense, since he and Hod die (Balder unexpectedly, Hod unjustly and nastily) in canon, as it were… but they’re hanging around in Nibelheim (nowhere near a ShinRa reactor, *grin*…) with Hel until after Ragnarok when they will rule the world… But here? No clue. *grins* But we’ve seen an adult Hod and Loki with the Norse Force before, so… this could be interesting. *grins*

But Odineye?? Wow, never saw THAT coming. I love this arc, despite its current absence of Hod thing. Can’t wait to see my boy again!

  5. Wynni Says:

Wooooaaaaaaah Nelly! Odineye in charge? Now, I’m skeered.

  6. Loni Says:

I always figured Hod would become the bad guy after he killed Balder (even though traditionally it’s not his fault) and Odineye becomes the leader, as he’s the only one smart enough to stand against the mad, brilliant work of Hod.

  7. Theala SIldorian Says:

Loni: Which explains why Ragnarok is inevitible, then. Odineye may have smarts but he doesn’t have wisdom.

Hod, OTOH, has both. As a villain, he’s almost as scary as Darkseid.
