    Oh no… Money on a halfling… That can only end badly. I once had money on a halfling and he wiped out three villages. HOWEVER, I did get to coin the term of “Never bet against halfling barbarians”… Totally should have used them as a traveling circus.

    This is getting interesting, I hope the payoff is amazing with all of this build up!

    @lufgar the longhouse lizard - She has to battle on… in her current condition, she’s built for fighting and (definitely) not loving.

    @Matt - We don’t believe in payoff… we’re just going to build and build and build until someone’s head explodes. :)

    @Myrddin - You do realize Arazel had to curse her to turn her to stone, right? :)

    Flashback to a Classic Folk Rock song.

    “Everybody wants to get stoned.”

    And a philosophical question. Since there is a past and future version of Arazel and Xarenia in this fight, do the future versions remember how the fight ended since this is the SECOND time they have fought it? Or will something make them forget before or after the fight ends? (To preserve the time line, or course.)

    @Silverwolf - Yes, stoned elves are the worst. And it keeps them so thin too. :) BTW, congratulations on being named (by me) the most prolific commenter here at Brat-halla over the past month. I’ve managed to keep up with them all (and there were a lot of them). Eventually, I’ll get some time to go back and respond to some of them.

    @Mark Sebree - You’ll find out more about their memories toward the end of the story.
