Brat-halla is a webcomic about the Norse gods from their elementary school days. All-Father Odin and Frigg constantly have their hands full with Thor (the super strong runt of the litter), Loki (the god of mischief who likes to play with dolls), Balder (the invulnerable pretty boy), Hod (the blind god of darkness and winter), Hermod (the hyper super speedster god), and all the rest of the Norse pantheon.

i have to say… this is bloody amazing. gotta love.
little confused at the moment, but hey, it is, well, ragnarok. can’t begrudge a little confusion, lawlz.
anyways, just professing my love for lovely art & witty wording. and norse mythology. (and hod…)
thanks, guys, you’ve made my week.

@Lark - Well, Fridays are always off to a good start for most of us (with the weekend right around the corner), but I’m glad we could kick it off with a good laugh for you.
@Jasta - Stop cuddling Hod… you’ll ruin his hard-earned reputation.
@Wolf Gunnison - That just proves how tough Hod is. C’mon, he kills him with a dart. Do you know how tough it is to kill someone with a dart (lawn darts excluded in this question)?
Yeah, lol. I’ve tried it. Very very difficult. Never succeeded.
And… resisting… for 72 hours even before he was born is also a testament to his toughness. Heh.
I still rather like Hod, though. (These interludes included.)
(And I must get around to saying something: “Twilight of the Hod” is such a dreadful pun. And I hate puns. )
Remember that Frigg made all the creatures of the earth swear never to harm Balder; and that the only one who would not promise was the mistletoe. Loki, disguising himself as an old woman, gave Hod a dart of mistletoe to throw when all the Aesir were testing Balder’s invulnerability. The dart struck Balder, and he fell down dead. So…yeah, Hod killt him. But it was all Loki’s fault!!!
@Branwyn: Yes! It was NOT Hod’s fault. As Brat-Hod might say: “Blind….” Besides, both Odin and Frigg knew what was going to happen and did nothing to protect Hod… And anyway, what was the gang thinking, getting drunk and playing “let’s throw crap at Balder…” LOL! SO Viking… But that’s Real Time and not Brat-halla time. *staunchly refuses to believe Hod is really evil*

LOL! Oh dear… no WONDER Mommy betrays poor Hod (in real time)… she’s far more in love with one son than the other. Mean Mommy… *cuddles Hod*

Lol. Jasta. It doesn’t help that Balder is killed by Hod, either, does it?
