  1. Wynni Says:

    I called it!

  2. Wynni Says:

hrmmm, it didn’t take the (sorta) part. wonder why?

  3. Butterfly Kat Says:

How could we have overlooked Pooka?

  4. smjjames Says:

ouch, mega wedge. So, Pookah was the mastermind in all this and Hod was just the pawn? Since Pookah can’t talk, he must be telepathic or something to be able to get Hod to do what he wanted.

  5. Butterfly Kat Says:

Umm, what is that It’s holding her by?

  6. smjjames Says:

if its her underwear, its very stretchy underwear.

  7. Trowa Says:

It was SO OBVIOUS yet SO NOT!

    That’s a twist.

And Butterfly Kat, it is as smijames says… Mega-wedgie…

  8. Butterfly Kat Says:

that’s a lot more underwear than I pictured her wearing. Not being dirty really, just considering they pulled her from so far back in time… I’ll stop now

  9. Jeffery Stevenson Says:

@Wynni - Yep, there were a few readers that suspected Pookah in all of this. Not sure what happened to your (sorta) though.

@Butterfly Kat - How could you? :) He was there all along… in fact, he’s been there longer than some might have thought. And yeah, that’s a stone wedgie, but you’re correct that she wouldn’t be an “underwear” girl considering where she came from. Since tight leather pants can chafe when worn for long periods of time, she wears a thin pair of pants underneath them.

@smjjames - Yep, a being of pure mischief was the mastermind behind all this. And yeah, he had a way of controlling Hod… more on that next week.

@Trowa - Thanks. W did put in some hints here-and-there… All the surveillance equipment everywhere so he could enjoy all his mischief. Seth did a wonderful job throughout the story of adding in the nice little touch of Pookah sharing facial expressions/body language with Hod whenever he got emotional. “Can you zoom in on that dwarf? I think he just pissed himself.”

  10. Theala Sildorian Says:

Hmm. I had wondered why the Pookah would be the servant, not the master, or why the Celtic gods would suddenly follow Hod.

Great twist, and now everything is falling into place. How and where Hod met Pookah fairly obvious; must have been at the Pantheon Games.

  11. Jeffery Stevenson Says:

@Theala Sildorian - Thanks. We find out how Hod and Pookah met next week.

  12. Wolf Gunnison Says:

The only question bugging me is:

How is Hod standing up after getting smashed in the gut with a hammer!?

  13. smjjames Says:

“@smjjames - Yep, a being of pure mischief was the mastermind behind all this. And yeah, he had a way of controlling Hod… more on that next week.”

Now I know who Pookah was thinking would ruin his plans, Loki. After all, Loki IS a god of mischief, although he is a little more than just that.

@Wolf, some of Balders invulnerability was transferred to him.

As far as Pookah controlling hod, it has to be some form of telepathy.

  14. Elyena Says:

The eyebrow still bothers me to a degree….-goes into deep ponderment about the issue-

  15. Butterfly Kat Says:

    Thanks Jeffery,

Somehow I manged to forget how much leather chafes. Light pants would make sense.

I noticed Pooka there, just never connected him to actually being in charge. That’s how I mean “overlooked”. I just vaguely wondered why he was hanging around. Now I’m thinking Pooka stole the hammer in the first place. Also that he was around when Hod was in the Student exchange program.

Yeah, Loki would probably get real mad about what’s happened to his daughter. Good reason why Pooka didn’t try to use him.

Thor really is a good reason to move Hel and Balder out of her domain. If he shows up and finds out what happened to them, even without his hammer he could free them. Am I right that they did move them to another place where they actually had built the machine?

  16. Trowa Says:

@ Butterfly Kat - [@ the idea of Pooka trying to control Loki]
Hod does rather have a thing for Hel though, so it’s not really about relationships, so much as the ability to influence, or suggestibility, maybe…?

We’ll see next week, as Jeffery has said. Lookin’ forward to it! Build-up and suspense is astounding, but I love me a good plot resolution…

  17. Butterfly Kat Says:

But Loki does have a talent if not obsession for causing mischief. If Pooka had tried to control him by planting the idea in his mind that this would be a really great bit of mischief he would probably not be all that hard to make use of. But a father protecting his child or at least preventing the harming of that child really should outweight the desire to cause mischief and would be harder to push to the side than any feelings from a childhood crush. This would also be easier if you started trying to take those feelings out of the picture while they were still developing. Pooka had time to do that with Hod.

There’s also the fact that Loki as a older god then Hod, and a master of manipulating people would probably have noticed someone trying to mess with his thoughts.

  18. Rayna Says:

Loki only uses original ideas which he can copyright and sell. No sharing royalties with the pooka.

  19. thelittlejessicky Says:

Am I the only one who didn’t realise it was Pooka? :-/ lol my bad..
