Intermissions: Hod’s Comic #24
Trying something a little new here with Hod discussing myths and legends with the other godlings. There’s a lot more I can do with this idea, so let me know if you like it.

I don’t know many Norse myths, so I’d love to see moe of this. And Hod’s commentary at the end made me smile.

Go for it! I love Norse mythology and fun takes on it - so the more inspiration you draw from the Eddas et al., the better!

I can just see a drunken Frigg trying to explain the origin of things… or Odin trying to tell the kids about S-E-X when they already know… LOL!!
Maybe Tyr could come back and try telling Hod something he thinks little bro don’t know… we haven’t seen Tyr since the Pantheon Games!

It’s always funny to see people attempt to put modern values on old tales. That Ymir was a giant was enough to most people to say why he needed killing. Giants were “monsters’ in every sense of the word, then.
Afterall, why else would it be so out of character and novel to have a friendly giant? If giants were friendly anyway, the adjective wouldn’t be needed. (I still have that tale somewhere, gah, can’t remember the giant’s name).

Actually, I can see this as how most myths, especially creation myths, go started. Bedtime stories and stories to kids. Stories about storms during storms to explain them. About the winter through the long winter nights. Etc.
By the way Wynni, Loki is a giant. He was “adopted” as a “brother” to Odin, which is why he is considered a god rather than a giant, at least until he fell out of favor (one practical joke too many) and is supposed to join the giants at Ragnorok.

Definitely do more like this. The whole twist-on-mythology thing is why I love Brat-halla so much.
You know one myth I would really like to see— Thor dressed as a girl/bride for the giants. That one always cracks me up.

I love it, For those of us who are less familiar with Norse Mythology it is a great way to learn more. It gives us an idea what to look up to find the full myth.
I always love how Hod *sees* things.

Sigtrygg: Hell, Cross-Dressing Thor is a whole Brat-halla arc in and of itself. Preferably after Norse Gone Wild, though, as Freya had a major part in it.
