#311 – Twilight of The Hod: Casualty

It just wouldn’t be Ragnarok without casualties.

Oops :( Rapidly running out of brats :/

  2. Gloom45 says:

    Saddening, though he went well

  3. tiggertoo says:

Awww, poor Sif. :( The whole predestined/predoomed aspect of the Norse pantheon has always struck me as a particularly bad deal for the Norse gods. Sucks to be them, huh?

  4. Theala Sildorian says:

Now I wanna see what Thor was doing when he changed back to Brat :D

  5. Jasta says:

Ohhh… *snf!* Extra points for use of the verses from the Völuspá!!! *sobs into hanky* SO well done… just wonderful…

*settles down* I have no idea what’s truly going on, but I am riveted. :) Thanks, guys!! Prizes to ALL of you!!

  6. Steve N says:

Now hold on just a minute! One of the most epic clash of elemental forces of Ragnarok and we didn’t get to see it! Please, please, please show us the fight. Maybe on Hod’s screen or something.

PS I absolutely love your comic

    Steve

  7. Dave says:

Thor??? You killed off Thor??? FREAKIN’ AWESOME. I always liked Loki better.

  8. Wynni says:

*drubs Dave with an apprpriately long sinanju swirlie (kudos if you get the reference)*
Noooooo……does this mean Adult Thor has now appeared in Hel’s domain, and ready to wreak Havoc all over Hod’s plans for Hel?

There’d better darn well be an upside to this (and a hurry up with a rebirth for Thor already)

  9. j c rouille says:

Bravo! An end worthy of Odin’s son. To be followed by a lament worthy of Sif, I hope…Kudos Jeffrey, Seth, and Anthony. A virtual horn of mead to each and all.

  10. Chameleon says:

aww crap.. that sucks :( at least he went down fighting though

  11. SirNomad says:

    WOW !!!
Well done, I agree,I would have liked to have seen the battle but this was a perfect depiction of this great warriors death. I had forgotten the part of the legend about the nine steps. The poetry and images were mated perfectly. Yea verily a foaming horn raised to you all.

  12. Demas says:

Very well done indeed! I guess that answers my earlier question, you would and did. You know eventually Sif is going to stop crying and start looking for someone to blame for this. Oh dear, Hod’s “guest services” team better hope their boss can complete his plan before then. Btw, one (of many) unanswered questions here – If Loki and Fenric are bound (I’m assuming Fenric is bound based on Tyr’s prosthetic hammer in #309) and Baldur is dead, then how the @#$%&*! is Hod still in the land of the living?

    Gods this comic rocks!

  13. Silverwolf says:

Man, did they have to kill off one of the best characters in the pantheon?
