It’s always that LAST step that gets you busted
And he isn’t even drunk…and/or smelling of cheap perfume…durn that Loki…
Can’t blame him for trying to be quiet after returning home late.
I thought it might have been the bison creating all that racket though.
Why is it that sounds are always much louder when they actually matter?

Reminds me of the days when I used to work till three in the morning. It was simply impossible to get into the house quiet enough to not wake the wife. I’m pretty sure they set traps…
Hmm… come to think of it, Loki may be responsible for those last few stairs…
The trick is to put your feet down as wide as possible, stepping on the less-used and better-supported outside portions of each step.

Very clever…
Not to mention, those creaks are usually things like the boards rubbing against the nails through the steps and risers. By stepping on the outside of the step, however, you are not causing the board to rise up and rub against the nail.
However, all bets are off whenever Loki or (as we have been seeing lately) Hod are involved. Both are intelligent and more than a little devious.

Trapstairs are so much fun/hassle; depending on which side of the busting one’s on…hey, did we ever get a final list for the weapons?
