#364 – Jr. Pantheon Games: The Watering Hour

Previously: The pantheons met upon a glorious field of battle and… well, it was an arena… and some of it wasn’t very glorious.  There was some battling though. Some battles but mostly competitions.

Currently: Excitement is in the air as thoughts of shiny medals race through the young ones’ heads.  But thoughts like these can sometimes be a bad thing when a young mind is trying to get to sleep.

another cool event, Troll Dancing…. think ice dancing…. you have to keep at least one hand on the troll…it would be sweet!

Notice that Loki is asking for mead instead of water. Given that he is living under the same roof as Freya, I am sure that it is easy to come by there. :) Also, he is technically over 21, even if his body does not currently show it. (He is a shape shifter. Why doesn’t he just shapeshit into an adult, besides the fact that it would ruin is participation in the strip? Never thought of it? Or just having too much fun reliving his childhood with a new group of kids?)

Odin should go to Baldur’s and Hod’s room next. Take care of two kids in one trip.

Episode#10 deals with why Loki is currently young. And yes he is having way too much fun tormenting Odin to shape change into an adult right now. It’s amazing how much mischief you can get away with as a child.

Yeah, I especially like the fatherly rolled eye/smile combo he seems to have in the fourth panel. It offsets the third panel’s “what have I gotten myself into” look Odin has.

Dancing with the Gods, the newest event coming to a pantheon near you!

  4. Wynni says:

Hrmmmm, think Odin repents his wanderlust at times like these? Bwhahahahaha!

Haha, Loki asking for mead is great. And on a side note, it was cool meeting you guys again at Chicago Comic-Con and talking about what’s coming up in the comic. Not to mention special thanks to Seth for drawing me an awesome picture of Hel.

LOL! I love the rolled eyes look Odin has while little Thor babbles on. Reminds me when my daughter was small and kept asking me sciency questions (quite intelligent ones too for a 5 year old) the night before we were to visit the Museum of Science and Technology LOL! She’s now 21 and in her second year of university studying science :)

Wish you guys could come up here to Ottawa for a convention… I’d love to get a picture of Loki :) Of course, I also wish Ottawa actually had conventions for folks like you to come visit (sighs).

    • NH says:

      Cool, another Ottawa reader.

I’m reading your post thinking, “Hey, we’ve got a Museum of Science and Technology. Ok, wait. It IS our Museum of Science and Technology!”

I’ve got a 6 year old whom we have taken there, Aviation, Nature, Civilization, etc. etc., so I know exactly where you’re coming from! The strip is also spot on in the way kids (mine at least) suddenly have a million things to say when you’re trying to get him down for the night.

  7. Rachel says:

hey, is it just me, or is the 1st and the 5th pictures exactly the same except for Thor’s expression…
I hope it’s not just me, because that would mean the pain meds were messing with my head…. *shakes bandaged hand mournfully*
ahhh Brat-Halla is great for keeping my sanity :D

  8. Pfeniks says:

I imagine Loki ASKING for the mead is just him being polite. I’m inclined to believe Loki just takes whatever he wants.
